Aishah said, "I used to feel jealous of those women who offered themselves to the Messenger of ﷺ, and I would say, 'Does a woman offer herself?' Then when Allah revealed His words, "You may defer whichever of them you wish, and take to yourself whichever you wish, and whomever you desire of those you had set aside" [Ahzab 33:51], I said, 'By Allah, I see that your Lord hastens to fulfill your wishes.'"
كنت أغار على اللاتي وهبن أنفسهن لرسول ﷺ وأقول: تهب المرأة نفسها؟ فلما نزل قوله تعالى: {ترجى من تشاء منهن وتؤوي إليك من تشاء ومن ابتغيت ممن عزلت} [الأحزاب: ٥١] قالت: قلت: والله ما أرى ربك إلا يسارع لك في هواك.
