Ibn Shihab reported,

Umar bin Abdul-Aziz once delayed the prayer, so Urwa bin Zubayr came in to see him and informed him that Mughira bin Shuba had similarly delayed the prayer one day while he was in Kufa. Abu Masud al-Ansari came in to see him and said, "What is this, Mughira? Do you not know that Jibreel descended and prayed, and so the Messenger of Allah ﷺ prayed. Then he prayed, and the Messenger of Allah ﷺ prayed. Then he prayed, and the Messenger of Allah ﷺ prayed. Then he prayed, and the Messenger of Allah ﷺ prayed. Then he prayed, and the Messenger of Allah ﷺ prayed. Then he said, 'With this I have been commanded.'"Umar bin Abdul-Aziz said, "Be sure of what you are narrating, Urwa. Was it indeed Jibreel who established the times of prayer for the Messenger of Allah ﷺ?"Urwa replied, "That is how Bashir bin Abu Masud al-Ansari used to narrate it from his father."

عن ابن شهاب

أن عمر بن عبد العزيز أخر الصلاة يوما، فدخل عليه عروة بن الزبير، فأخبره أن المغيرة بن شعبة أخر الصلاة يوم يوما وهو بالكوفة، فدخل عليه أبو مسعود الأنصاري فقال: ما هذا يا مغيرة الله أليس قد علمت أن جبريل نزل فصلى فصلى رسول الله ﷺ، ثم صلى فصلى رسول الله ﷺ، ثم صلى، فصلى رسول الله ﷺ، ثم صلى، فصلى رسول الله ﷺ، ثم صلى فصلى رسول الله ﷺ، ثم قال بهذا أمرت. فقال عمر بن عبد العزيز: اعلم ما تحدث به يا عروة، أو إن جبريل هو الذي أقام لرسول الله ﷺ وقت الصلاة؟ قال عروة: كذلك كان بشير بن أبي مسعود الأنصاري يحدث عن أبيه.
