The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "My heirs are not to divide dinars among themselves. Whatever I leave behind, after providing for my wives and the expenses of my workers, is charity."
أن رسول الله ﷺ قال: لا يقسم ورثتي دنانير، ما تركت بعد نفقة نسائي ومؤونة عاملي، فهو صدقة.
Malik narrated it in "Speech, Backbiting, and Slander" (28) from Abu Zinad, from Araj, from Abu Hurairah, and he related it. Bukhari also narrated it in "Inheritance" (6729), and Muslim in "Jihad and Expeditions" (1760), both by this route.
