Abdullah bin Masud reported,
Regarding the verse "He certainly saw of the greatest signs of his Lord" [Najm 53:18], he said, "He saw a green canopy that filled the horizon of the sky."

Sahihعن عبد الله بن مسعود قال
{لقد رأى من ءايت ربه الكبرى}[ سورة النجم: ١٨] قال: رأى رفرفا أخضر سد أفق السماء.
Bukhari narrated it in the Beginning of Creation (3233) from Hafs bin Umar, who said, Shuba narrated to us, from Amash, from Ibrahim, from Alqama, from Abdullah bin Masud, and he mentioned it.Tirmidhi also narrated it (3283) through another route, saying, regarding "The heart did not lie about what it saw" [Najm 53:11], he said, "The Messenger of Allah ﷺ saw Jibreel in a garment of raff adorned silk that filled what was between the sky and the earth."
