Dihya Kalbi gifted the Messenger of Allah ﷺ a pair of leather socks, and he wore them.
أهدى دحية الكلبي لرسول الله ﷺ خفين فلبسهما.
Tirmidhi reported it in his Sunan (1769) and in Shamail (70), and Abu Shaykh in Akhlaq an-Nabi ﷺ (p. 116), both of them through the route of Hasan bin Ayyash, from Abu Ishaq, who is Shaybani, from Amir Shaybi, from Mughira bin Shuba, and he mentioned it, and its isnad is sahih. Hasan bin Ayyash has been a subject of disagreement, and the majority regard him as reliable, though Hafiz said in Taqrib, "Truthful."
