Abu Hurairah reported,

The Prophet ﷺ said, "Once, while a man was in an open stretch of land, he heard a voice from a cloud saying, 'Water the garden of so-and-so.' That cloud then moved aside and poured its water onto a stony tract, and one of the channels there took in all of that water. The man followed the water and found a man standing in his garden, directing the water with his shovel.He asked him, 'Servant of Allah, what is your name?'The man replied, 'So-and-so,' giving the very name he had heard from the cloud.Then the man in the garden asked him, 'Servant of Allah, why do you ask about my name?'He said, 'I heard a voice from the cloud whose water this is, saying, Water the garden of so-and-so, naming you. What do you do with this garden?'The man replied, 'Since you have asked, I look at what it produces, then I give a third in charity, I eat with my family from a third, and I return a third back into the garden.'"

عن النبي ﷺ قال: بينا رجل بفلاة من الأرض فسمع صوتا في سحابة: اسق حديقة فلان، فتنحى ذلك السحاب فأفرغ ماءه في حرة. فإذا شرجة من تلك الشراج قد استوعبت ذلك الماء كله، فتتبع الماء فإذا رجل قائم في حديقته يحول الماء بمسحاته فقال له: يا عبد الله، ما اسمك؟ قال: فلان- للاسم الذي سمع في السحابة- فقال له: يا عبد الله، لم تسألني عن اسمي؟ فقال: إني سمعت صوتا في السحاب الذي هذا ماؤه، يقول: اسق حديقة فلان لاسمك فما تصنع فيها؟ قال: أما إذ قلت هذا فإني أنظر إلى ما يخرج منها فأتصدق بثلثه، وآكل أنا وعيالي ثلثا، وأرد فيها ثلثه.
