Malik reported it in Istidhan (14) from Nafi, from Ibn Umar, as mentioned. Bukhari reported it in Bad al-Khalq (3323), and Muslim in Musaqah (1570:43), both through the route of Malik, with the same wording. Muslim also reported it through another route from Nafi, in which he said, "The Messenger of Allah ﷺ used to order that dogs be killed, so word would spread throughout Madinah and its outskirts, and we would not leave a single dog without killing it, to the point that we would even kill the dog of a little woman from among the desert dwellers that followed her."Al-muriyah is the diminutive form of al-mar'ah, meaning "little woman."
