The Prophet ﷺ forbade the price of a dog and the earnings of a female singer.
أن النبي ﷺ نهي عن ثمن الكلب، وكسب الزمارة.
Baghawi narrated it in Sharh al-Sunnah (2038), and Bayhaqi (6/126), both from the hadith of Hisham bin Hassan, from Ibn Sirin, from Abu Hurairah, who related it as mentioned.His statement, "the earnings of the female flute-player are forbidden," refers to the payment for prostitution, that is, the fee given to the adulterous woman. It was also said that it means the woman who sings while playing the flute.
