The Messenger of Allah ﷺ forbade taking payment for a dog and for the stud fee of a male animal.
نهي رسول الله ﷺ عن ثمن الكلب، وعسب الفحل.
Ibn Majah (2160) and Nasai (4675) both narrated it from the hadith of Muhammad bin Fudayl, who said, "Amash narrated to us, from Abu Hazim, from Abu Hurairah," and he mentioned it. The mention of Abu Hurairah was dropped in the copy of Nasai, and Mizzi noted this in Tuhfah.
