The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "Wine has been cursed in ten ways: by itself, the one who presses it, the one who has it pressed, the one who sells it, the one who buys it, the one who carries it, the one to whom it is carried, the one who consumes its price, the one who drinks it, and the one who serves it."
قال رسول الله ﷺ: لعنت الخمر على عشرة أوجه: بعينها، وعاصرها، ومعتصرها، وبائعها، ومبتاعها، وحاملها، والمحمولة إليه، وآكل ثمنها، وشاربها، وساقيها.
Reported by Abu Dawud (3674), Ibn Majah (3380), Ahmad (4787), Ibn Abu Shayba (6/447), and Bayhaqi (5/327), all of them through Abdul-Aziz bin Umar bin Abdul-Aziz, from Abdul-Rahman bin Abdullah Ghafiqi and Abu Tuama, their freed slave, that both of them heard Ibn Umar say what follows.Its chain of transmission is hasan because of Abu Tuama, whose name was Hilal. Though there has been some discussion about him, his hadith is hasan. Moreover, he was corroborated in this very chain by Abdul-Rahman bin Abdullah Ghafiqi, who was the governor of Andalusia and was martyred there in the year 115 AH. Hafiz has a good discussion in his defense, so refer to it.Ibn Sakan graded it sahih, as mentioned in Talkhis (4/136). The hadith has another chain of transmission, which follows.
