The Messenger of Allah ﷺ cursed the one who consumes usury and the one who pays it.I asked, "And the one who records it, and its two witnesses?"He replied, "We only narrate what we have heard."
لعن رسول الله ﷺ آكل الربا، وموكله: قال: قلت وكاتبه، وشاهديه؟ قال: إنا نحدث بما سمعنا.
Muslim narrated it in the Book of Musaqah (1597:105) through Jareer, from Mughira, who said, Shabbak asked Ibrahim, so he told us on the authority of Alqama, from Abdullah, who said, and then he mentioned it.Shabbak, with a kasrah on its first letter, was al-Dabbi al-Kufi, the blind one.In the Sunan there is an addition, "and the one who writes it down and the two witnesses to it," from the narration of Abdul-Rahman bin Abdullah bin Masud, from his father. The verified position is that Abdul-Rahman bin Abdullah bin Masud was a mudallis, and here he used the ambiguous form "an" without explicitly stating that he heard it from his father. The majority of scholars hold that he heard only four hadiths from his father, and this is not one of them.
