The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "There are three to whom Allah will not look on the Day of Resurrection. An old man who commits adultery, a poor man who is arrogant, and a man who has made Allah his merchandise, neither buying nor selling except by swearing oaths in His name."
قال رسول الله ﷺ: ثلاثة لا ينظر الله إليهم يوم القيامة: أشيمط زان، وعائل مستكبر، ورجل جعل الله له بضاعة لا يشتري إلا بيمينه، ولا يبيع إلا بيمينه.

Tabarani reported it in Mujam al-Kabir (6/301) from Muhammad bin Abdullah Hadrami, who said, Saeed bin Amr Ashathi narrated to us, who said, Hafs bin Ghiyath narrated to us, from Asim Ahwal, from Abu Uthman (Nahdi), from Salman, and he mentioned the hadith. Its chain is sahih.Tabarani also reported it in Saghir and Awsat, except that in it he said, "Three whom Allah will not entrust with responsibility, nor purify, and for them is a painful punishment."Haythami said in Majma (4/78), "Its narrators are the narrators of the Sahih."His saying "ashaymit" is the diminutive form of "ashmat," which refers to the whiteness of the hair of the head, and its meaning here is an old adulterer.
