Ayesha reported that the Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "Whoever seeks what is rightfully his should seek it with dignity, whether he obtains it in full or not."
وعائشة أن رسول الله ﷺ قال: من طلب حقا فليطلب في عفاف واف، أو غير واف.
Ibn Majah (2421) narrated it, and Ibn Hibban (5080), Hakim (2/32), and Bayhaqi (5/358) all graded it sahih, all of them through routes from Ibn Abu Maryam, who said, Yahya bin Ayub narrated to us, from Ubaydullah bin Abu Jafar, from Nafi, from Ibn Umar and Ayesha, and they both mentioned it. Its chain is hasan due to the discussion surrounding Yahya bin Ayub Ghafiqi, though his hadith is hasan.
