The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "Whoever owns palm trees or land must not sell them until he first offers them to his partner."
قال رسول الله ﷺ: من كانت له نخل، أو أرض فلا يبعها حتى يعرضها على شريكه.
Nasai (4700), Ibn Majah (2492), and Ahmad (14292) all narrated it through Sufyan bin Uyayna, from Abu Zubayr, from Jabir, who related it. Its chain of transmission is sahih. However, Abdul-Razzaq (14403) narrated it from Sufyan Thawri, and Ibn Jurayj, both from Abu Zubayr, with an addition, "If he wishes, he may take it, and if he wishes, he may leave it."It may be that the hadith came through two routes, Sufyan bin Uyayna and Sufyan Thawri, even though not all of its routes attribute it specifically to Ibn Uyayna or to Thawri.
