There was once an alarm in Medina, so the Prophet ﷺ borrowed a horse from Abu Talha called al-Mandub and rode out on it. When he returned, he said, "We saw nothing alarming, but we found this horse to be like a vast sea."
كان بالمدينة فزع، فاستعار النبي ﷺ فرسا من أبي طلحة يقال له: المندوب، فركب، فلما رجع قال: ما رأينا من شيء، وإنا وجدناه لبحرا.
Bukhari related it in the Book of Gifts (2627), and Muslim in the Book of Dreams (2307), both from the hadith of Shubah, from Qatada, who said, I heard Anas say, then he mentioned it.
