Tabarani narrated it in Awsat (3507) from Husayn bin Muhammad bin Hatim Ajli, who said, "Abdullah bin Muhammad Adhrami told us," who said, "Qasim bin Yazid Jarmi told us," who said, "Sufyan told us, from Mansur, from Ibrahim, from Aswad, from Umar bin Khattab," and he related it.Tabarani said, "No one narrated it from Sufyan except Qasim Jarmi."I say, Qasim bin Yazid Jarmi Mawsili, the ascetic, was deemed reliable by Abu Hatim and Ibn Hibban, so his being the sole narrator does not harm the hadith, and perhaps his son Abdullah received it from Umar.What is meant by the "practice" here is simply following the example of the Prophet's ﷺ action, not that it is among the recommended acts of Hajj, and the caliphs' stopping at this place after the Prophet ﷺ was for the same reason mentioned by Ayesha .
