Ibn Umar considered stopping at al-Hasbah to be a sunnah, and he would pray the Dhuhr prayer on the day of departure at al-Hasbah.Nafi said, "The Messenger of Allah ﷺ stopped at al-Hasbah, as did the caliphs after him."
أن ابن عمر كان يرى التحصيب سنة، وكان يصلي الظهر يوم النفر بالحصبة. قال نافع: قد حصب رسول الله ﷺ والخلفاء بعده.
Muslim narrated it in the chapter on Hajj (1310/338), from Muhammad bin Hatim bin Maymun, who said, Rawh bin Ubada narrated to us, who said, Sakhr bin Juwayria narrated to us, from Nafi, that Ibn Umar mentioned it.He also narrated it through another route, from Nafi, from Ibn Umar, that the Prophet ﷺ, Abu Bakr, and Umar used to camp at Abtah.And Zuhri narrated it from Salim, that Abu Bakr, Umar, and Ibn Umar used to camp at Abtah.
