It was narrated by Abu Dawud (1954) from Harun bin Abdullah, who said, our teacher was Hisham bin Abdul-Malik, from Ikrima, who said, our teacher was Harmas bin Ziyad Bahili, and he related the hadith. It was also narrated by Imam Ahmad (15968), and Ibn Khuzayma (2953) and Ibn Hibban (3875) graded it sahih, all of them by way of Ikrima with his chain of transmission. This Ikrima is Ibn Ammar Ajli, about whom there is disagreement, though he is hasan al-hadith and among the narrators of Muslim.As for what Yahya bin Duraysh narrated from Ikrima bin Ammar, from Harmas, who said, "I was riding behind my father, and I saw the Messenger of Allah ﷺ on a camel saying, 'Here I am for a hajj and umrah together,'" this is munkar. It was narrated by Abdullah bin Ahmad in the additions to the Musnad (15971) from Abdullah bin Imran Ibn Abu Layla, who said, our teacher was Yahya bin Duraysh, with his chain, and he related it.Abdul-Rahman bin Abu Hatim said in Al-Ilal (1/292), "I asked my father about a hadith narrated by Abdullah bin Imran, from Yahya bin Duraysh... My father said, I mentioned it to Ahmad bin Hanbal, and he rejected it. My father said, I think a hadith got mixed into another hadith for Abdullah bin Imran, one that Shazakuni stole from him, because he later narrated it from Yahya bin Duraysh." End of quote.The hadith of Shazakuni is what Tabarani narrated in Al-Kabir (22/203) by two routes, from Abdullah bin Ahmad, our teacher was Abdullah bin Imran, and also, our teacher was Abu Muslim Kashshi, our teacher was Sulayman bin Dawud Shazakuni, both of them said, our teacher was Yahya bin Duraysh, our teacher was Ikrima bin Ammar, from Harmas bin Ziyad, who said, and he related it.This Sulayman bin Dawud Shazakuni was given a biographical entry by Ibn Adi in Al-Kamil (3/1142), where he said, "A Basran known by the kunya Abu Ayub, a memorizer who was frivolous, and in my view someone who used to steal hadiths." He mentioned the hadith of this chapter from Yusuf bin Asim Razi, who said, our teacher was Sulayman Shazakuni, our teacher was Yahya bin Duraysh, and he related the hadith with its chain, then said, "This is known to belong to Abdullah bin Imran Isfahani, from Yahya bin Duraysh." He also said, "Shazakuni has many sound hadiths, and he is among the counted memorizers from the memorizers of Basra, one of those grouped together with Yahya, Ahmad, and Ali, yet the most objectionable thing I have seen from him are these hadiths I have mentioned, some of them being outright munkar and some of them stolen."Once you know this, do not be misled by the statement of Haythami in Al-Majma (3/235), "It was narrated by Abdullah bin Ahmad in his additions, and by Tabarani in Al-Kabir and Al-Awsat, and its narrators are reliable."In summary, the sahih part of the hadith of Abdullah bin Imran is the Prophet's ﷺ sermon while on his camel Adba, but he erred when a hadith got mixed into another hadith for him, and he added to his hadith, "Here I am for a hajj and umrah." Then Shazakuni stole it and narrated it from Yahya bin Duraysh, which is why Imam Ahmad and others rejected it. This Abdullah bin Imran Isfahani is not reliable. Ibn Hibban mentioned him in Al-Thiqat (8/359) and said, "He relates unfamiliar reports," and Abu Hatim said, "Truthful."
