She said, "I complained to the Messenger of Allah ﷺ that I was unwell."He said, "Perform the circumambulation behind the people while riding."In another narration, "When the dawn prayer is being called, circumambulate on your camel while the people are praying."So she did that, and she did not pray until she had departed.

Malik narrated it in the Hajj chapter (123) from Abu Aswad Muhammad bin Abdul-Rahman bin Nawfal, from Urwa bin Zubayr, from Zaynab bint Abu Salama, from Umm Salama, and he mentioned it. Bukhari narrated it in the Hajj chapter (1633), and Muslim in the Hajj chapter (1276), both through the route of Malik, with the same wording, similarly. As for the second narration, Bukhari narrated it in the Hajj chapter (1626) through another route, from Hisham bin Urwa, from his father, from Umm Salama. Nasai said, "Urwa did not hear it from Umm Salama," and Daraqutni said, "It is disconnected." But the Hafiz said, "It is possible that Urwa heard from Umm Salama, for he lived through more than thirty years of her life, and he was with her in the same town."Malik narrated in the Hajj chapter (117) from Ibn Shihab, from Humayd bin Abdul-Rahman bin Awf, that Abdul-Rahman bin Abdul-Qari informed him that he performed tawaf around the House with Umar bin Khattab after the dawn prayer, and when Umar finished his tawaf, he looked and did not see that the sun had risen, so he rode until he made his mount kneel at Dhu Tuwa, and prayed two units of prayer. Bukhari mentioned this with a suspended chain in his Sahih (3/488, with Fath al-Bari) from Umar, in a shortened form. This is the view held by Abu Hanifa, Malik, and Sufyan Thawri, for they said that whoever performs tawaf after the dawn prayer does not pray the two units of prayer for tawaf until the sun rises, and likewise whoever performs tawaf after Asr does not pray the two units of prayer for tawaf until the sun sets, so as to move past the time in which prayer is disliked. As for what has been narrated from Abu Zubayr, who said, "I asked Jabir about tawaf around the Kaaba," and he said, "We used to perform tawaf and touch the corner at the beginning and at the end, and we did not perform tawaf after the dawn prayer until the sun rose, nor after Asr until it set," and he said, "I heard the Messenger of Allah ﷺ say, 'The sun rises between the two horns of Satan,'" this is daif. Imam Ahmad narrated it (15232) from Hasan, he said, Ibn Lahia told us, Abu Zubayr told us, and he mentioned it. Ibn Lahia is a subject of well known criticism. His statement, "We did not perform tawaf after the dawn prayer..." contains a clear irregularity, for the prohibition is not against performing tawaf after the dawn prayer and after Asr, rather the prohibition is against praying after those two times. That is why those who considered prayer disliked at those times delayed it until after the sun had risen or after it had set, as Abu Hanifa, Malik, and others held. And in the Muwatta, in the Hajj chapter (119), from Malik, from Abu Zubayr Makki, that he said, "I have indeed seen the House empty after the dawn prayer and after the Asr prayer, with no one performing tawaf around it." Ibn Abdul-Barr said in al-Istidhkar (12/176), "This is a munkar report, refuted by everyone who has seen tawaf performed after the dawn prayer and after Asr, while not considering prayer permissible until the sun sets."
