The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "Children of Abd Manaf, do not prevent anyone from circumambulating this House and praying at any hour he wishes, whether by night or by day."
قال رسول الله ﷺ: يا بني عبد مناف، لا تمنعوا أحدا يطوف بهذا البيت ويصلي أي ساعة شاء من ليل أو نهار.
Abu Dawud (1894), Tirmidhi (868), Nasai (2924), and Ibn Majah (1254) all narrated it from the hadith of Sufyan bin Uyayna, from Abu Zubayr, from Abdullah bin Babah, from Jubayr bin Mutim, and he related the hadith. Ibn Khuzayma (1280), Ibn Hibban (1552), and Hakim (1/448) graded it sahih, and Hakim said, "Sahih according to the criterion of Muslim." It has also been narrated through other routes that support it. Tirmidhi said, "Abdullah bin Abu Najeeh also narrated it from Abdullah bin Babah," and he said, "The hadith of Jubayr bin Mutim is a hasan sahih hadith."I say, the hadith of Abdullah bin Abu Najeeh was narrated by Imam Ahmad (16753) from Yaqub, who said, my father narrated to us, from Ibn Ishaq, who said, Abdullah bin Abu Najeeh narrated to me, from Abdullah bin Babah, the freed slave of the family of Hujayr bin Abu Ihab, who said, I heard Jubayr bin Mutim say, I heard the Messenger of Allah ﷺ say, "O sons of Abd Manaf, do not prevent anyone from performing tawaf around this House at any hour of the night or day."This is the position held by Shafii, Ahmad, and Ishaq. Abdullah bin Zubayr used to perform tawaf after Fajr and then pray two rakahs. Bukhari narrated this in his Sahih (1630).
