We arrived with the Messenger of Allah ﷺ saying, "Here I am, O Allah, here I am, for Hajj." Then the Messenger of Allah ﷺ commanded us, so we made it an Amra.
قدمنا مع رسول الله ﷺ ونحن نقول: لبيك اللهم لبيك بالحج، فأمرنا رسول الله ﷺ فجعلناها عمرة.
Bukhari related it in the book of Hajj (1570), and Muslim in the book of Hajj (1216), both of them through Hammad bin Zayd, from Ayub, who said, "I heard Mujahid say, Jabir bin Abdullah narrated to us," and he mentioned it, and the wording is Bukhari's.
