I departed from Muzdalifa with Husayn bin Ali, and I kept hearing him recite the talbiyah until he threw the pebbles at Jamrat al-Aqaba. I asked him about it, and he said, "I departed from Muzdalifa with my father, and I kept hearing him recite the talbiyah until he threw the pebbles at Jamrat al-Aqaba. أفضت مع الحسين بن علي من المزدلفة فلم أزل أسمعه يلبي حتى رمى جمرة العقبة، فسألته فقال: أفضت مع أبي من المزدلفة فلم أزل أسمعه يلبي حتى رمى جمرة العقبة، فسالته فقال: أفضت مع النبي ﷺ من المزدلفة فلم أزل أسمعه يلبي حتى رمى جمرة العقبة.
It was narrated by Imam Ahmad (915), Abu Yaala (321), Tahawi in Sharh Mushkil (3921), and Bayhaqi (5/138), all from the hadith of Muhammad bin Ishaq, who said, "Abu Aban bin Salih told me, from Ikrima, who said," and then he related it.Tahawi added, "So I went back to Ibn Abbas and told him, and Abdullah bin Abbas said, 'He spoke the truth. Fadl, my brother, told me that the Messenger of Allah ﷺ kept reciting the talbiyah until he finished.'"Its chain is hasan because of Muhammad bin Ishaq. Although he was known to conceal his sources, he explicitly stated that he heard the hadith directly in the narration of Bayhaqi and Abu Yaala.His statement, "until he threw the pebbles at the jamra," is understood to mean the completion of throwing the seven pebbles at Jamra Uqba, and this has come explicitly stated in the hadith that follows.
