He was riding behind the Messenger of Allah ﷺ, and he reported that on the evening of Arafah and the morning of Muzdalifah, when the people set out, the Prophet ﷺ said, "Maintain a calm pace," while he was reining in his she-camel until he entered Muhassir, which is part of Mina. He said, "Use pebbles like those used for stoning the Jamrah." He also said that the Messenger of Allah ﷺ continued to recite the talbiyah until he threw the pebbles at the Jamrah.
- وكان رديف رسول الله ﷺ-أنه قال في عشية عرفة وغداة جمع للناس حين دفعوا: عليكم بالسكينة، وهو كاف ناقته حتى دخل محسرا- وهو من منى- قال: عليكم بحصى الخلف الذي يرمى به الجمرة. وقال لم يزل رسول الله ﷺ يليي حتى رمى الجمرة.
