Aisha said, the Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "Five creatures are all harmful, and there is no blame on whoever kills them: the scorpion, the crow, the kite, the mouse, and the biting dog."
قالت: قال رسول الله ﷺ: خمس من الدواب كلها فاسق، لا حرج على من قتلهن: العقرب، والغراب، والحدأة، والفأرة، والكلب العقور.
Bukhari narrated it in the chapter on the penalty for hunting (1828), and Muslim in the chapter on Hajj (1200), both through Abdullah bin Wahb, who said, Yunus told me, from Ibn Shihab, who said, Salim bin Abdullah told me, that Abdullah bin Umar said, Hafsa said, and he related it. The wording given is that of Muslim, and Bukhari's wording is similar, except that his version does not contain, "All of them are vermin."
