I heard the Prophet ﷺ say, "Do not let any of you be deceived by Bilal's call regarding the predawn meal, nor by this whiteness until it spreads."In another narration, "Do not let Bilal's call to prayer deceive you regarding your predawn meal, nor the whiteness of the horizon stretching upward like this, until it spreads across like this." Hammad demonstrated with his hands. He said, meaning extending horizontally. In another narration, "Do not let Bilal's call deceive you, nor this whiteness, until the dawn appears," or he said, "until the dawn breaks."
Muslim narrated it in the Book of Fasting (1094) through several chains from Sawada bin Hanzala Qushayri, who said, "I heard Samura bin Jundab say" (then he related the hadith with all these wordings).
