The Prophet ﷺ said, "A man keeps begging from people until he comes on the Day of Resurrection without a single piece of flesh on his face."
قال النبي ﷺ: ما يزال الرجل يسأل الناس حتى يأتي يوم القيامة وليس في وجهه مزعة لحم.
Bukhari reported it in the chapter on zakat (1474), and Muslim in the chapter on zakat (104:1040), both of them by way of Layth, from Ubaydullah bin Abu Jafar, from Hamza bin Abdullah bin Umar, that he heard his father, and he mentioned the hadith.His saying, "a scrap of flesh," with the mim vowelled with a damma, means a small piece of meat.
