The Messenger of Allah ﷺ distributed a share of wealth, so I said, "By Allah, Messenger of Allah, others were more deserving of this than these people."He replied, "They gave me the choice between asking me with rude insistence or accusing me of stinginess, and I am not one to be stingy."
قسم رسول الله ﷺ قسما فقلت: والله يا رسول الله لغير هؤلاء كان أحق به منهم. قال: إنهم خيروني أن يسألوني بالفحش أو ييخلوني فلست بباخل.
