Abu Saeed Khudri reported,

A man from the Ansar was in need, so his family said to him, "Go to the Prophet ﷺ and ask him."He went to him while the Prophet ﷺ was delivering a sermon, in which he was saying, "Whoever seeks to abstain from asking, Allah will grant him chastity. Whoever seeks to be self-sufficient, Allah will enrich him. And whoever asks us and we have something to give, we will give him."So the man left without asking.
