Abu Saeed Khudri reported,
Some people from the Ansar asked the Messenger of Allah ﷺ for something, and he gave to them. Then they asked him again, and he gave to them, until what he had was exhausted.He then said, "Whatever good comes into my possession, I will never withhold it from you. Whoever seeks chastity, Allah will keep him chaste. Whoever seeks self-sufficiency, Allah will make him self-sufficient. Whoever exercises patience, Allah will grant him patience. No one has been given a gift better or more comprehensive than patience."

أن ناسا من الأنصار سألوا رسول الله ﷺ فأعطاهم، ثم سألوه فأعطاهم، حتى نفد ما عنده ثم قال: ما يكون عندي من خير فلن أدخره عنكم، ومن يستعفف يعفه الله، ومن يستغن يغنه الله، ومن يتصبر يصبره الله، وما أعطي أحد عطاء هو خير وأوسع من الصبر.
Malik narrated it in the Sadaqah chapter (7), from Ibn Shihab, from Ata bin Yazid Laythi, from Abu Saeed Khudri, and mentioned it.Bukhari narrated it in the Zakat chapter (1469), and Muslim in the Zakat chapter (1053), both through the route of Malik, with the same wording.Hakim narrated it (2/414) from Abdul-Rahman bin Hamdan Jallab in Hamdan, who said, Ishaq bin Ahmad bin Mihran Kharraz told us, who said, Ishaq bin Sulayman Razi told us, who said, I heard Malik bin Anas recite the words of Allah 
, "And We made from among them leaders guiding by Our command when they were patient and were certain of Our signs" [Sajdah 32:24], then he said, Zuhri told me, that Ata bin Yazid told him, from Abu Hurairah, that he heard the Prophet ﷺ say, "No servant has been granted anything better for him or more expansive than patience."He thus attributed it to the musnad of Abu Hurairah, which is a mistake. The correct attribution is that it belongs to the musnad of Abu Saeed Khudri, and the error originates from Ishaq bin Ahmad bin Mihran, whom no one but Khalili deemed reliable. Khalili said, "But he was not a hafiz."Hakim said, "The two sheikhs (Bukhari and Muslim) agreed on including this wording at the end of his hadith with this chain, that some people from the Ansar asked the Messenger of Allah ﷺ... the hadith in full, and at its end is this wording, but they did not include it with this particular phrasing that is found with Ishaq bin Sulayman."I say, it is as he said, except that it belongs to the musnad of Abu Saeed Khudri, not to the musnad of Abu Hurairah, as has already been explained.
