We arrived in Medina, and there was the Messenger of Allah ﷺ standing on the pulpit addressing the people, saying, "The hand of the giver is the upper hand. Begin with those you support, your mother and your father, your sister and your brother, then those nearest to you and those nearest after them."
قدمنا المدينة فإذا رسول الله ﷺ قائم على المنبر يخطب الناس وهو يقول: يد المعطي العليا، وابدأ بمن تعول، أمك وأباك، وأختك وأخاك، ثم أدناك أدناك.
Nasai (2532) narrated it from Yusuf bin Isa, who said, Fadl bin Musa informed us, who said, Yazid, who is Ibn Ziyad bin Abu Jaad, narrated to us, from Jami bin Shaddad, from Tariq, and he related it.Its chain is hasan because of Yazid bin Ziyad. Ibn Main and Ajli deemed him reliable, and Abu Zura said, "A shaykh." Ibn Hibban also narrated it through this same route in his Sahih (3341).
