I heard the Messenger of Allah ﷺ say, "When Allah grants any of you something good, let him begin with himself and his household."
سمعت رسول الله ﷺ يقول: إذا أعطى الله أحدكم خيرا فليبدأ بنفسه وأهل بيته.
Muslim narrated it in Imarah (1822) through several routes from Hatim, who is Ibn Ismail, from Muhajir bin Mismar, from Amir bin Saad bin Abu Waqqas, who said, "I wrote to Jabir bin Samura with my servant Nafi, asking him to tell me something he had heard from the Messenger of Allah ﷺ." He said, "So he wrote back to me, saying, 'I heard the Messenger of Allah ﷺ say...'" and he mentioned it.
