Ibn Khuzayma reported it in Tawheed (298) from Ali bin Salama Labaqi, from memory, who said, Zayd bin Hubab told us, who said, Husayn bin Waqid told us, from Abdullah bin Burayda, from his father, and he mentioned it.Its chain is hasan because of Ali bin Salama Labaqi, for he is "truthful" as stated in Taqreeb. Hafiz said, Hakim asserted that Bukhari and Muslim both narrated from him, and Hakim said, He is trustworthy, and he has transmitted the affirmation of his reliability from Bukhari and Muslim. Among the narrators of Bukhari there is one called Ali, but Bukhari did not attribute him further, so is this the same person? Mizzi said, It has been said that he is this same Ali bin Salama, but since this was not confirmed, he marked him only with the symbol "Q," and Hafiz did the same in his Tahdheeb and Taqreeb.Likewise in the chain are Zayd bin Hubab and Husayn bin Waqid, and both of them are also at the level of "truthful." The fact that Ibn Khuzayma included it in his book Tawheed strengthens it.
