A man from the group asked, "Messenger of Allah, what do you think if a man pays the zakat on his wealth?"The Messenger of Allah ﷺ replied, "Whoever pays the zakat on his wealth, its evil has been removed from him."
قال رجل من القوم: يا رسول الله، أرأيت لو أدى الرجل زكاة ماله؟ فقال رسول الله ﷺ: من أدى زكاة ماله، فقد ذهب عنه شره.

Tabarani related it in Awsat (Majma Bahrayn 1345) from Ahmad bin Hamdun, who said, Muhammad bin Ammar Mawsili narrated to us, Umar bin Ayub narrated to us, from Mughira bin Ziyad, from Abu Zubayr, from Jabir, and he mentioned it.Its chain is hasan because of Mughira bin Ziyad, who is Bajali, Abu Hisham, about whom there is disagreement. Imam Ahmad said, "His narration is disordered, his hadith is objectionable, his hadiths are objectionable." Ibn Main and Ajli and others deemed him trustworthy, while Nasai, Abu Dawud, Ibn Adi and others considered him acceptable. Ibn Jurayj corroborated him, narrating from Abu Zubayr.Hakim related it (1/390) by way of Abdullah bin Wahb, who said, Ibn Jurayj informed me, with his chain, similarly, and he said, It is sahih according to the criterion of Muslim.Haythami graded it hasan in Majma (3/63), after attributing it to Tabarani in Awsat, and said, "Although there is some discussion regarding some of its narrators."I say, perhaps he means by this Mughira bin Ziyad Bajali, otherwise the rest of its narrators are trustworthy. Moreover, this Mughira has been corroborated, as already mentioned.
