We used to hope that an intelligent Arabi would come and question the Prophet ﷺ while we were present with him. While we were in that state, an Arabi came and knelt before the Prophet ﷺ and said (and he mentioned the hadith), in which it was said,"... and your messenger claims that we owe zakat on our wealth?"The Prophet ﷺ replied, "He has spoken the truth."The Arabi said, "By the One who sent you with the truth, I will not add to them nor subtract from them."The Prophet ﷺ said, "If he has spoken truthfully, he will surely enter Paradise."
Bukhari narrated it in the Book of Knowledge (63), and Muslim in the Book of Faith (12), and the wording is his, both of them through the route of Sulayman bin Mughira, from Thabit, from Anas, and he mentioned it in full as has already passed in the Book of Faith.
