An Arabi man asked the Messenger of Allah ﷺ about migration. He replied, "Woe to you, its matter is serious. Do you have camels from which you pay the charity due on them?"The man said, "Yes."The Prophet ﷺ said, "Then work from beyond the seas, for Allah will not let any of your deeds go to waste."
أن أعرابيا سأل رسول الله ﷺ عن الهجرة، فقال: ويحك إن شأنها شديد، فهل لك من إبل تؤدي صدقتها؟ قال: نعم. قال: فاعمل من وراء البحار، فإن الله لن يترك من عملك شيئا.
Bukhari narrated it in the Book of Zakat (1452), and Muslim narrated it in the Book of Leadership (1865), both through Walid bin Muslim, who said, "Uzai narrated to us, Ibn Shihab narrated to me, from Ata bin Yazid, from Abu Saeed Khudri," and he related it.His statement, "it will not leave," with the ta pronounced with a kasra, means, "it will not diminish anything from the reward of your deeds."
