The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "When the believer enters his grave, two angels come to him and rebuke him sharply. He sits up startled, the way a sleeper wakes with a start. They ask him,'Who is your Lord?''What is your religion?''Who is your Prophet?'He answers, 'Allah is my Lord, Islam is my religion, and Muhammad is my Prophet.'They say to him, 'You have spoken the truth. This is how you were.'Then it is said, 'Furnish his grave with bedding from Paradise, and clothe him with garments from Paradise.'He says, 'Let me go to my family.'They reply, 'Stay where you are.'"

Ibn Abu Asim narrated it in Sunnah (866) from Yusuf bin Yaqub Saffar, who said, Abu Bakr bin Ayyash narrated to us, from Amash, from Abu Sufyan, from Jabir, and he related it. From this same route, Bayhaqi also narrated it in Ithbat Azab Qabr (238), and Ahmad narrated it (14547) from Sazan, who said, Abu Bakr bin Ayyash narrated it to us, in abridged form. Its isnad is hasan because of the discussion regarding Abu Bakr bin Ayyash, though his hadith is hasan, as previously mentioned from the statement of Ibn Adi about him.
