The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "My nation," or "this nation, will continue to hold firmly to their religion as long as they do not leave the burial of the dead solely to the families of the deceased."
قال رسول الله ﷺ: لا تزال أمتي، أو هذه الأمة في مسكة من دينها ما لم يكلوا الجنائز إلى أهلها.
Hakim reported it (1/370) via Abu Bakr bin Abu Shayba, who said, narrated to us Waki, from Salt bin Bahram, from Harith bin Wahb, from Sanabihi, who said, and he mentioned it.Hakim said, "This is a hadith sahih in its isnad, if this Sanabihi is Abdullah. But if he is Abdul-Rahman bin Usayla Sanabihi, then there is disagreement about whether he heard from the Prophet ﷺ."I say, Salt bin Bahram has a biography in Lisan Mizan, and he is trustworthy, the only criticism against him being Irja.
