Imam Ahmad narrated it (12543, 12563, 13826), as did Bazzar in Kashf Astar (787) and Abu Yaala (3512), all of them through Hammad bin Salama, from Thabit Bunani, from Anas, as mentioned. Its isnad is sahih.Haythami mentioned it in Majma (2/325) and attributed it only to Abu Yaala and Bazzar, failing to attribute it to Ahmad. He said, "Its narrators are the narrators of the Sahih." Diya also graded it sahih in Mukhtarah (1639).
