I fell gravely ill in Mecca, so the Prophet ﷺ came to visit me. He placed his hand on my forehead, then wiped his hands over my face and stomach, and said, "O Allah, heal Saad and complete his migration for him."I have continued to feel its coolness on my liver, as it seems to me, until this very moment.
تشكيت بمكة شكوى شديدة فجاءني النبي ﷺ يعودني فوضع يده على جبهتي، ثم مسح يديه على وجهي وبطني، ثم قال: اللهم اشف سعدا، وأتمم له هجرته فمازلت أجد برده على كبدي فيما يحال إلى حتى الساعة.
Bukhari related it in the Book of the Sick (5659) from Makki bin Ibrahim, who said, Juayd told us, from Ayesha bint Saad, and he mentioned it.Muslim related it in the Book of Wills (8/1628) through other routes, from three of Saad's children, all of whom narrated it from their father, that the Prophet ﷺ came to visit Saad in Makkah while he was ill, and Saad wept. The Prophet said, "What makes you weep?" He said, "I feared that I would die in the land from which I emigrated, just as Saad bin Khawlah died." So the Prophet ﷺ said, "O Allah, heal Saad. O Allah, heal Saad," three times. He then related the hadith in full, and it will come later in the Book of Wills.The three children of Saad are Amir bin Saad, Musab bin Saad, and Ayesha bint Saad. The hadith of Ayesha bint Saad was not related by Muslim, it was related by Bukhari alone.
