The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "When Allah takes away the dearest loved one of His believing servant from among the people of the earth, and the servant bears it patiently, seeks his reward from Allah, and says what he was commanded to say, Allah is not pleased with any reward for him short of Paradise."
قال رسول الله ﷺ: إن الله لا يرضى لعبده المؤمن- إذا ذهب بصفيه من أهل الأرض، فصبر واحتسب، وقال ما أمر به- بثواب دون الجنة.
Nasai (1871) narrated it from Suwayd bin Nasr, who said, Abdullah told us, saying, Amr bin Saeed bin Abu Husayn informed us, from Amr bin Shuayb, who wrote to Abdullah bin Abdul-Rahman bin Abu Husayn to console him for a son of his who had died, and he mentioned in his letter that he had heard his father narrating from his grandfather, Abdullah bin Amr bin As, and he related the same thing. Its chain is hasan because of Amr bin Shuayb, for he is "truthful."
