The Prophet ﷺ said, "None of you should make his brother get up on Friday and then take his place to sit in it. Rather, let him say, 'Make room.'"
عن النبي ﷺ قال: لا يقيمن أحدكم أخاه يوم الجمعة ثم ليخالف إلى مقعده، فيقعد فيه، ولكن يقول: افسحوا.
Muslim narrated it in the Book of Greeting (2178) through the route of Maqil bin Ubaydullah, from Abu Zubayr, from Jabir, and he mentioned the hadith.
