The Messenger of Allah ﷺ used to recite in the Friday prayer "Glorify the name of your Lord, the Most High" [Ala 87:1] and "Has there come to you the news of the Overwhelming Event?" [Ghashiyah 88:1].
أن رسول الله ﷺ كان يقرأ في صلاة الجمعة ب {سبح اسم ربك الأعلى} و {هل أتاك حديث الغشية}.
Reported by Abu Dawud (1125) and Nasai (1422), both through the route of Shubah, from Mabad bin Khalid, from Zayd bin Uqbah, from Samura bin Jundab, and he related it. Its chain of transmission is sahih. Ibn Khuzayma (1847) and Ibn Hibban (2797) also graded it sahih, reporting it through the route of Shubah, from Mabad bin Khalid, with the same wording.
