The Messenger of Allah ﷺ used to recite Surah al-Jumuah in the Friday prayer to encourage the believers, and in the second rakah he would recite Surah al-Munafiqun to rebuke the hypocrites.
كان رسول الله ﷺ مما يقرأ في صلاة الجمعة بالجمعة، فيحرض به المؤمنين، وفي الثانية بسورة المنافقين، فيقرع به المنافقين.
Tabarani narrated it in Al-Awsat (994 - Majma Bahrayn), he said, Walid bin Aban told us, Muhammad bin Ammar Razi told us, Abdul-Samad bin Abdul-Aziz told us, Amr bin Abu Qays told us, from Mansur, from Abu Jafar, from Abu Hurairah, and he mentioned it.Haythami said, "Its chain is hasan."
