I used to pray with the Prophet ﷺ, and his prayer was moderate in length, and his sermon was moderate in length.
كنت أصلي مع النبي ﷺ فكانت صلاته قصدا، وخطبته قصدا.
Muslim reported it in the Book of Jumuah (866) through several routes from Abu Ahwas, from Simak, from Jabir, and mentioned the hadith. Abu Dawud reported it (1101) through the route of Sufyan, from Simak, and he added in it, "He would recite verses from the Quran and remind the people."
