The Messenger of Allah ﷺ used to remember Allah often and speak idly little. He would prolong the prayer and shorten the sermon, and he did not consider it beneath him to walk with a widow or a poor person to help them with their needs.
كان رسول الله ﷺ يكثر الذكر، ويقل اللغو، ويطيل الصلاة، ويقصر الخطبة، ولا يأنف أن يمشي مع الأرملة والمسكين ليقضي له الحاجة.
Nasai (1414) narrated it from Muhammad bin Abdul-Aziz bin Ghazwan, from Fadl bin Musa, from Husayn bin Waqid, Yahya bin Aqeel told me, he said, I heard Abdullah bin Abu Awfa say, and he related the hadith.Its isnad is hasan, because of Husayn bin Waqid and his teacher Yahya, for they are both truthful narrators.
