Jabir bin Abdullah reported,

The Prophet ﷺ used to stand by a tree, or a palm trunk, when delivering the Friday sermon. A woman from the Ansar, or perhaps a man, said, "Messenger of Allah, shall we make a pulpit for you?"He replied, "If you wish."So they made him a pulpit. When Friday came, he went up to the pulpit, and the palm trunk cried out like a wailing infant. The Prophet ﷺ then came down and embraced it, and it began to whimper like a child being soothed until it grew quiet.He said, "It was weeping over the remembrance of Allah it used to hear beside it."

عن جابر بن عبد الله

أن النبي ﷺ كان يقوم يوم الجمعة إلى شجرة أو نخلة، فقالت امرأة من الأنصار أو رجل: يا رسول الله! ألا نجعل لك منبرا؟ قال: إن شئتم. فجعلوا له منبرا، فلما كان يوم الجمعة دفع إلى المنبر، فصاحت النخلة صياح الصبي، ثم نزل النبي ﷺ فضمه إليه، يئن أنين الصبي الذي يسكن. قال: كانت تبكي على ما كانت تسمع من الذكر عندها.
