The Prophet ﷺ said about Some men who failed to attend the Friday prayer, "I was about to order a man to lead the people in prayer, then burn down the houses of Some men who fail to attend the Friday prayer."
أن النبي ﷺ قال لقوم يتخلفون عن الجمعة: لقد هممت أن آمر رجلا يصلي بالناس، ثم أحرق على رجال يتخلفون عن الجمعة بيوتهم.
Muslim narrated it in the Book of Mosques (652) via Abu Ishaq, from Abu Ahwas, who heard it from him, from Abdullah bin Masud, and he related it.This hadith is the first hadith that Majd Ibn Taymiya mentioned in the chapters on Friday prayer in al-Muntaqa, but Bayhaqi said in Sunan al-Kubra (3/56), "What all the other narrations indicate is that he used the word 'Friday prayer' to mean 'congregational prayer'."For this reason, I had already mentioned it earlier among the chapters on congregational prayer and its merits.
