The Prophet ﷺ said, "Going to the Friday prayer is obligatory upon every adult."
أن النبي ﷺ قال: رواح الجمعة واجب على كل محتلم.
Abu Dawud (342) and Nasai (1371) both reported it through the route of Mufaddal bin Fadala, from Ayyash bin Abbas, from Bukayr, from Nafi, from Ibn Umar, from Hafsa, and he mentioned it. The wording given is that of Nasai, while the wording of Abu Dawud is, "Every person who has reached puberty is obligated to attend Friday prayer, and whoever attends Friday prayer must perform ghusl." Its chain is sahih. Ibn Khuzayma (1721) and Ibn Hibban (1220) graded it sahih, both reporting it through the route of Mufaddal, with the same chain.
