The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "Allah caused those before us to stray from Friday. The Jews had Saturday, and the Christians had Sunday. Then Allah brought us and guided us to Friday, so He made the order Friday, Saturday, and Sunday. In the same way, they will follow us on the Day of Resurrection. We are the last of the people of this world, but we will be the first on the Day of Resurrection, the ones whose case will be decided before all of creation."In another narration, "The ones among whom judgment will be passed."In another narration from Hudhayfah, "We were guided to Friday, and Allah caused those before us to stray from it."
Muslim narrated it in the Book of Friday (856) through several paths from Ibn Fudayl, from Abu Malik Ashjai, from Abu Hazim, from Abu Hurairah. And from Rabi bin Harash, from Huzaifa, and both of them related the hadith. The second narration, from Huzaifa, was also narrated by Muslim through another route, from Saad bin Tariq, from Rabi bin Harash, with the same wording.Bazzar narrated it (Kashf - 617) from Yusuf bin Musa, who said, Ibn Fudayl told us, combining both chains, from Abu Hurairah and Huzaifa, and in it, "those forgiven before the rest of creation."
