Tirmidhi related it (2382) from Suwayd bin Nasr, who said, Abdullah bin Mubarak informed us, Haywa bin Shurayh informed us, Walid bin Abu Walid, Abu Uthman Madaini, informed us, that Uqba bin Muslim told him, that Shafi Asbahi told him, from Abu Hurairah, and he mentioned it in a long hadith, which is discussed in its proper place.Ibn Khuzayma (2482) and Hakim (1/418-419) graded it sahih, and both of them related it from another route from Abdullah bin Mubarak with his chain, similarly, in a long hadith. Its chain is sahih.As for Walid bin Abu Walid Uthman, Madani, Abu Uthman, Ibn Hajar said about him, "Lenient in hadith," but the truth is that he is trustworthy. Abu Zura and Dhahabi affirmed his reliability in Kashif, and others did as well.The origin of this hadith is found in Sahih Muslim from another route, except that it does not mention the descent (1905).
